Astronomers' Old Village, São Paulo, 1908.Strange and terrifying crimes, possibly committed by a serial killer, have been frightening the small village.Chief Leonardo Pataca and Aurélia Camargo, an important figure of the city, decide to call reinforcements from the capital: Capitu Machado, a secure, pragmatic and straightforward woman; and Juca Pirama, a charismatic and astute man, who is also expert in arcane knowledge and powerful magic.The two investigators soon realize the similiarities between the crimes of the serial killer from Old Village and the ones they have investigated in São Paulo: a killer who recreates the tarot arcana!
