An ageing widow bids her son goodbye as he sets out on his cycle rickshaw. The young man's journey is fraught with many obstacles and dangers which he overcomes as he moves ahead. In time, this journey is repeated and cycle rickshaw becomes a metaphor to the monotonousness of life. As the years go by, his young daughter takes over the old rickshaw and life repeats itself.
